Outcast is an action adventure game released in 1999 and developed by Appeal. This classic game was one of the most revolutionary games in terms of graphics and storytelling back in the day. We play as Cutter Slade, an army veteran who was sent through a portal to an alien world of Adelpha to save the earth from appending doom. Story takes us in so many unpredictable ways, it involves time traveling and time traveling paradoxes, aliens, technology and magic, and the ending was something else. #gamesongs
Game was played from standard third person perspective where you could explore the alien planet and communicate with local friendly aliens and use the beasts of burden to ride around the place. There are some environmental puzzles and many secrets to find. Adventure elements are also present where talking to people and finding objects and combining them was the way to move forward. Aggressive aliens are also there and you needed to use the force to take them down, you could buy and upgrade equipment and be more efficient when you progress through out the game. At the time Outcast was a blast to play, today it might be almost as forgotten, but luckily another remake is coming soon. These classic games always find a way to return and show themselves in a new light to new audiences.
