Florida is known for it’s wildlife, including alligators. This guy was hanging out on the side of the road. Rescued and being relocated to a new home with a nice swampy pond. We were guessing it is about 3 years old. His length is right at 4 feet. His reptilian hide is still soft. Alligators are fascinating critters, they can be found in many low lying areas if you know where to look. I have a great respect for them. They can run, lunge and take down a person or animal within minutes.
