Recently, my colleague at work, Mr. Alexis, complained about how he lost his niece to the cold hands of death. She had been suffering pneumonia and has kept it to herself until she had to pay the ultimate price.
Silence is that state where perhaps you have the knowledge of an existing truth but decide to keep mute. In some parlance, silence is said to be golden and hides you from a lot of looming danger. Could this be true?
One thing that calls for a quick check is why was she silent about an ailment that threatened her life.
•Victims of such cases may have been reprimanded for speaking their minds at wither times. Now that they have been shot down, such fellows want to remain silent so as no to experience another shutting down.
•The fear of the aftermath of saying or making a truth public could also force individuals into silence.
• Shame is another factor to be considered. Some people prefer to die in silence and would rather not seek help by speaking up.
Several other factors can make you silent.
