Curiosity and natural adventurism inherent in Ernie, did his job. The guys climbed into an unknown device for them, which was in the garage of max's father, something there accidentally clicked and found themselves in the Jurassic period, where the patronage over them took dinomama, because the shape of the time machine in which they arrived resembled an egg.
