Hi Steemit!

I just started exploring this exciting new platform and I can already tell that I'm going to be obsessed! I found this social media website thanks to one of Hive account@dollarvigilante's youtube videos. I'm fairly new to all things cryptocurrency, but thanks to Jeff, the creator of The Dollar Vigilante, I've learned a lot these past couple of months. Okay so let me back up a bit and tell you a little bit about myself...
My name is Lauren and I'm a 21 years old currently living in San Diego, California. I'm an only child and I was raised by a single mother in the small ski town of Aspen, Colorado. I've been fortunate enough to travel ever since I was young, and after spending a year abroad in Brazil my Junior year of high school, I acquired the wanderlust bug. I'm lucky enough to say that I've been to 19 beautiful countries including a year in Australia and I hope to see so many more. I'd like to think I'm quite a diverse little bugger, who's picked up too many hobbies for one to handle. But I guess that's just how I like it. :)
Here are 10 facts about me: (aka some of my hobbies)

1. I'm a pc gamer (steam summer sale, y'all!) some of my current favorite games include Skyrim, Overwatch, Hearthstone and Stardew Valley.
2. I'm a huge fan of everything cryptocurrency/altcoin. I'm a proud shareholder owner of Bitcoins and Ethereum, and I'm excited to start buying some STEEM!
3. I love photography and I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm proud of my somewhat decent following on Instagram
4. I've always loved taking videos of my life/surroundings and after putting editing off these past couple years, I've gotten back into it and starting editing and posting vlogs on my old youtube channel. Which is where I used to film beauty videos and makeup tutorials back in 2014 til I realized I really have no idea what I was talking about... lol
5. I'm a HUGE tv fan (which is ironic cause I don't have cable). Some of my favorite tv shows include Game of Thrones, Rick and Morty, Breaking Bad, Westworld, Scandal, Black Mirror, Greys Anatomy, The Walking Dead, How I Met Your Mother, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and sooooo many more.
6. I make and (unsuccessfully) sell dream catchers on Etsy I'm a big crafter and DIY-er and any chance I get, I'd rather make something than buy it.
7. I'm an avid Reddit user, and have been for quite a while. Reddit > 4chan ..psst.. What time does a narwal bacon?
8. I used to stream on twitch.tv but after a while I realized that I'd rather be a pleb in chat than a streamer.. KappaPride
9. I speak three languages, English, French and Portuguese. French because my mom is first generation American and my grandma played a big role in my life as I was growing up. Portuguese because I like I mentioned, I studied abroad in Brazil when I was 16. I picked up the language quickly by living with host families and going to a public Brazilian high school, where literally no one but the English teach spoke English.
10. I'd like to think of myself as an artist. I've dabble in various mediums including both in traditional and digital. You can see a fraction of my work here

I hope you got a small sense of who I am and what I like to do with those 10 facts. I'm a very straightforward and genuine person. I'm a realist with a positive outlook and I'm so excited to share my story and thoughts on various topics with this community.
