Here's a little behind the scenes tour with me, MrWang. Check out what it's like to be an actor on set of a hit network tv show.
Queen of the South
tells the powerful story of Teresa Mendoza, a woman who is forced to run and seek refuge in America after her drug-dealing boyfriend is unexpectedly murdered in Mexico. In the process, she teams up with an unlikely figure from her past to bring down the leader of the very drug trafficking ring that has her on the run. Starring Alice Braga (“I Am Legend”) as Teresa, the original drama series is based on the global best-selling novel “La Reina Del Sur,” by internationally-acclaimed author Arturo Pérez-Reverte.
You might have seen a preview of it while watching your other favorite show,
Mr. Robot
Some of you already know I'm on a hit tv show and I'm pretty sure I have doubters and haters waiting for any attempt to make my world come crashing down... truth is, you can't. I've worked really hard to get to this stage of my career and I'm ready to share these moments with you.

So my mornings usually start off super early and Call Time is around 7am. I have to be up by 5am, drive down to set, meet with wardrobe, makeup and rehearsal before 7am.. Call time means, Be Ready To Film
My Trailer
I finally get to say, "I'm going to my trailer"
it might seem all big time but this is MY trailer.. all 3ft X 6ft of it
I love how they have costume and script ready and waiting for you tho
Once I'm ready and production is ready to have me on set, I am driven to set and prepare to film the scheduled scenes for the day.
Locked and Loaded, Let's Do This
I am greeted by cast/crew upon arrival and a production assistant helps me find my chair. This is my "Me Time"... I can run lines, rest, chit chat with others while in this area. When the production assistant told me this was mine... I knew at that moment, I finally made it Big Time
I must say that every day on set is a blessing and I find the need to pinch myself every now and again to make sure this isn't another one of those dreams that leave you in high hopes that vanish once you realize your dreaming.
My View as we prepare for a shot
I've had a few friends try to tell me, "I'm living the dream" and I have to admit.. this is no dream. This is hard work, dedication, commitment and passion that drives to me continue doing great things like this. 12-16 hour workdays of filming Monday thru Friday and even sometimes weekends. I kind of feel like that saying isn't relevant for film production. Your on set for so long in the day that you find yourself wishing you were dreaming cause the lack of sleep. This is what I love to do, I love my job and because of that I am ready and willing to give whatever it takes to do this for the rest of my life, God willing.
I'm very happy and blessed to be working with such an awesome cast and crew, hardworking passionate storytellers like me. We have a hit TV show on a rising network channel airing quality entertainment that not only am I proud to say I work for.. but also a fan of as well.

Special Note
It's a shame when I read all the negative comments about this show coming from fans of the "novela" version on Telemundo. To hear numerous fans declare there will never be another Queen like Kate Del Castillo is disappointing. First off, this show is the American Version and no way close to the novela. Second, both my show and the Telemundo version are based off a BEST SELLING NOVEL, (had to let that one out)
