Why I joined Steemit:
As I said in the intro, my name is Douglas and I would like to start off with why I joined steemit. One of my good friends @Arthursen introduced me to the site and showed me how it worked. Right off the bat I was entreged by the different levels within the Blockchain and how the bitcoin system worked. I continued to read up on the website and decided I wanted to join the seemit community! I would enjoy reading why some of you join the community so leave a comment below!
All about me:
In my free time I race RC cars with some of my close friends at a track called The Clip speedway. It's so much fun and it takes up most of my summer weekends. I like to go hiking to many of my favorite locations near me. My daughter Angela accompanies me throughout all of these things and helps me co-run this steemit account. She enjoys horse back riding and dog showing so you can look forward to seeing some of that content later on. If you enjoy any of these things please let us know!

I myself own a Chinchilla named Houdini who is a spunky little rodent with a huge personality. For any one who does not know what a chinchilla is, it is a small exotic rodent from Chile just about a little smaller than a rabbit that has one of the worlds softest furs. My daughter owns a dog named Oreo and a cat named Cookie, yes that's really their names. Oreo is a lab pit bull terrier mix with as much personality as a human. Oreo has her own Instagram and Musically account @oreothefuzzypuppy and has a lot of followers on musically for a dog. She loves being dressed up and any time we say the word musically she runs to her "prop bag" until we dress her up. She is a big part of our lives and will definitely be on this account frequently. So,if you enjoy adorable pictures and videos of dogs you will enjoy this account!
