Idol worship has been given a lot of importance in Hindu culture. Not only idols, stones, trees, mountains, and even animals and birds are worshiped in this religion. And that is why Hinduism is also made fun of. But that is why no Hindu has any objection. They continue on their path. The Hindu culture, which discovered zero; the culture in which sage Shushruta performed surgery in the Vedic scriptures thousands of years ago; and the Hindu culture, which accurately calculated the positions of celestial planets and stars through mathematics. yes. I think if idol worship has been done, then there must be something behind it, right? Before misunderstanding anything, it is necessary to think about the human condition at that time.
The needs of that time, the knowledge of the people of that time, and the society of that time. I think so. At that time, I think, those sages might have had to take the help of stones or some such things to explain some things according to the knowledge of the people of that time. Be it the story of Purana or the story of any animal or bird speaking. We have to understand all this. The culture in which God resides in every particle has been said thousands of years ago. This definitely means that this culture has been explored deeply. Anu Renu was discovered much later. We do not try to understand the scriptures behind idol worship; we just make fun of ourselves. It's not like that. Many invaders have attacked this culture and tried to destroy it. We see this in history. Today, those aggressions have ended. But we still see this culture going its own way. We find humility, decency, and kindness in this culture. That is why, even today, after thousands of years, the glory of this culture is heard all over the world. Perhaps idol worship has also played a role in these qualities of this culture. I believe so. The sages who laid the foundation of idol worship in this culture must have studied in great depth. That is why this culture is still safe despite so many attackers.
The scripture on idol worship is very deep. The good qualities of the idol we worship come to us because, depending on whom our mind concentrates, it acquires the qualities of that person. And our feelings become of the same type. Whatever we meditate on repeatedly or expect, it happens. This is the effect of the power of the mind. I think this influence also builds our character. And if the character of our idol is like that of Lord Ram, then the qualities of Ram can influence me. If we see the character of Lord Ram, we will understand what a king should be like: someone who sacrifices everything for his people.
What should a son be like who happily accepts exile with his wife for his father's orders? What should a husband be like who, when separated from his wife, asks the trees and vines, "My Sita, have you seen?" How should one behave with a brother? How should one behave with a friend? This is the effect of our great poetry. Which is still visible in our culture today. Even today, every relationship is equally respected in our family. Not only this, we consider the entire world to be our family. And this is our Hindu culture. Vasudev Kutumbakam. The whole world is my family, and we should live with each other lovingly; this is our culture. Friends, these are my views; it is not my intention to oppose anyone or hurt anyone's mind. Thank you.
