To make Splinterlands more challenging and exciting, the game introduces a lot of battle rules that will potentially make the gamer think of better card combinations in order to win. This week's Mage Secrets is about "Equalizer," which allows all monsters to have the same health based on the highest health of the monster used in the battle.

BATTLE RULES
For my battle, it comprises of 3 rules which are equalizer, Odds one's out and stampede. The total mana required for this battle is 24. Elements allowed for this battles are fire, water, earth, life, dragon and neutral.
BATTLE LINE UP
I prefer to use water element for this battle and I picked Kelya Fendul as my summoner. Kelya Fendul provides additional speed and armor by 1. Below is my list for my line up.
| Chaos Agent lvl 10 | 1 mana, 4 speed, 0 attack, 0 armor, 4 health | Dodge, Phase, Backfire |
|---|---|---|
| Spirit Hoarder lvl 4 | 3 mana, 2 magic attack, 1 speed, 0 armor, 3 health | Triage, Dispel, Blind |
| Merdaali Guardian lvl 8 | 3 mana, 0 attack, 4 speed, 0 armor, 4 health | Tank heal, Repair, Strengthen |
| Uraeus lvl 6 | 3 mana, 3 melee attack, 4 speed, 1 armor, 4 health | Sneak, Poison |
| River Halondale lvl 4 | 7 mana, 2 magic attack, 2 speed, 1 armor, 4 health | Resurrect, inspire, dispel |
| Pelacor Bandit lvl 10 | 3 mana, 4 melee attack, 6 speed, 0 armor, 5 health | Sneak, Flying |
BATTLE SUMMARY
Round 1
My opponent chose to use the neutral summoner Lux, combined with the water element. Lux is a promo card that I would love to have, and she is quite powerful as she provides additional speed, armor, and health by 1. Surprisingly, my opponent also used Nerisa Tridawn, which has 11 health at level 6. Since the battle rule is equalizer, all monsters, including those in my lineup, will have the same health as Nerisa Tridawn. For this round, no battle casualty.
Round 2
All warrior are still complete.
Round 3
All warrior are still complete.
Round 4
My enemy's Spirit Hoarder was eliminated on this round.
Round 5
I lose my Chaos Agent on this round.
Round 6-7
Enemy's Merdaali Guardian lose on this rounds.
Round 8-10
I lose Spirit Hoarder prior to the defeat of Lux.
BATTLE ANALYSIS
Here are the possible reason for my win for this battle.
Mana Management - I used low mana monsters that have good damage and support abilities. Comparing to my enemy's line up, he uses a monster with high health but high mana, which reduces the number of monsters for his line up. The battle becomes 6 vs 5. Having an additional monster for my line up is an advantage because of the equalizer battle rule.
Focusing my line up with sneak ability - Using monsters with sneak provides an advantage, especially if the enemy position supports monsters at the rear. This battle of mine provides a good example.
Placing Chaos Agent at the first position - This becomes effective as my enemy uses magic and range, and Chaos Agent has abilities to counter these kinds of attacks.
Lastly, providing good support monsters has been effective for this battle. It had delayed the death of my monster in the first position, giving time for my sneak type monster to kill my enemy backline monsters.
Alright, I think this is for my battle for the equalizer mage rule. See again next week for another mage secrets. I hope you enjoy my battle. If interested on this game Splinterlands, check my referral link: https://splinterlands.com?ref=multicastx7
