Literally!
My Family Are Making Me Sick. Literally!
It’s worse when someone has eaten garlic bread at some point during the day. It’s hard when my kids want to hug and kiss me and I’m trying not to gag from the garlic fumes, which I usually can’t smell when I’m not pregnant.
I usually love the smell of my husband but now there are times where I’m so nauseous and I can’t stand it. Even the aftershave I bought him at Christmas now repulses me.
Despite me trying not to make a big deal out it he noticed and the other day said “I know I make you sick”. I had to use the “it’s not you, it’s me" line, which was true in this case. Luckily my hubby is now a veteran at dealing with a pregnant wife and her weird pregnancy behaviour so he doesn’t take any of it to heart. Plus a lot of things make me sick: opening the fridge, food shopping (even online!), the smell of onions, the smell of garlic, the smell of all Indian food! I guess it's par for the course.
How’s baby?
Baby is now around 4 cm long and has all his parts, from tooth buds to toenails and everything in between. He’s busy kicking and stretching but I can’t feel it yet. His body is starting to stretch out but his head still makes up a third of his length.
