Yamaha Rider Movistar Valentino Rossi is starting a recovery process for a broken leg injury he suffered. Rossi is determined to race as fast as possible.
As reported previously, Rossi got injured was due to motocross accident about a week ago. The 38-year-old rider then climbed the surgical table and is expected to be out for a month.
As a result, Rossi certainly absent in the series San Marino and Aragon. In addition, Rossi must race against time to be fully fit to return in Japan in October.
"I'm really looking forward to the series at Misano, because racing in front of the fans there is something very special, but I have to take care of my injuries with caution," said Rossi at Autosport.
"Luckily, now I'm fine, not too bad and I've been able to do mild physiotherapy."
"The recovery time is not for a moment, but I will do everything to get back quickly.I know the team supports me during the rehabilitation process, I have to thank everyone for the affection I have shown in the last few days."
Accidents that received Rossi is not likely to close his chances of winning the world title this year. Rossi now sits fourth with 157 points, scored 17 points from defending champion Marc Marquez (2) and 26 points from leader Andrea Dovizioso.
