This is my post for #freewriters Wednesday prompt it wasn't me hosted by
Do you believe in a parallel universe? I did not, that is until I took this picture. It was taken with my phone, not a camera where you could say the film was double exposed. Look at all of the rainbows.
I was on the river just south of the Main street boat ramp. There is no piece of land between the two rivers that this picture shows, and the land is not as developed as it is in the upper part of the picture. No place in my town is this built up. The land along the river looks like the land at the bottom of the picture, the upper land is not there and neither is the river below it.
This is what it is supposed to look like. You can see the long dock in both photos. I know that I took the picture but whoever was there, I know it wasn't me. Does that even make sense?....
The outboard shop was open today after being closed for a week while the owners were on vacation. I drove to it and ordered all of the parts for my motor. The owner's wife takes the orders and I thought she was going to fall off of her chair when she looked up the price of 2 bolts that I need, the bolts alone, not with washers or nuts are $44.00 dollars each. The nuts are $2.50 each. She told me that I should go to a hardware store and buy 2 stainless bolts and nuts, I am guessing that I can get them for about $10.00 dollars for both with nuts. The rest of the parts did not come to as much as I was thinking that they would cost. I was thinking around $300.00 and was pleasantly surprised when she told me that it will be close to $200.00.
It will take about a week to get all of the parts, some are coming from Georgia and some from Minnesota. Fingers crossed.
