One late night at steemfest me and Varun were chatting.
At some point I've said - hey, you are cool dude let me take some professional portrait of you,
Bare in mind that I'm full time professional photographer,
but from time to time I love to shoot just for fun in fact shooting for fun gives me more pleasure
So quickly I've set my lighting and start taking pictures.
First few shots was just to get the light right, create something out of nothing.
It is challenging but it's fun.
Here I would like to brake it down full process of making it.
First part of shot - 01:18 am , (9 different shots)
Just quick light set and see if we can build something on the top of that,
I didn't worry about composition that is the reason why is so many rubbish in the background,
bare in mind that our crew has been working at the almost 24/7 so forgive mess in the background
Start shot UNEDITED
Second part of Shoot - 01:22 am (32 different shots)
Build the lighting, clear all rubbish from the background and make the person feel more comfortable,
get right outfit and relaxed on the front of camera
Building shot UNEDITED
Third part of Shot - 01:41 am (10 different shots)
As soon as Varum was comfortable, I've had to add a little bit backlight to make photo look warmer
UNEDITED PHOTO STRAIGHT FROM CAMERA
Final Edit - 01:47 am (1 final shot)
Just change a little bit in the shadows, highlight slight color temperature correction, nothing major.
Final Shot and final edit
Whole photoshoot with getting final photo took 29 minutes and 52 photos
It could be longer, however we were tired after full day of walking around Lisbon, so we called it a day
By the way meant to be next, poor guy was so tired and sleepy that he couldn't keep awake.
Next year we will do all crew, actually who knows maybe everyone at
If you like an idea of me braking up the process of taking photo from each photoshoot give me shout.
I'm thinking to do weekly tutorials, lessons about light, composition working with camera.
