سکول میں حساب کے ایک نئے ٹیچر آئے اور بورڈ پر 5=2+2 لکھ کر پڑھانا شروع کر دیا۔ ٹیچر نے پوری کلاس کو کہا کہ آپ سب میرے پیچھے یہ فارمولہ بولو اور یاد کرو، دو جمع دو پانچ، کچھ دیر تو بچے بولے، لیکن سب حیران تھے کہ دو جمع دو تو چار ہوتے ہیں یہ دو جمع دو پانچ کیوں پڑھا رہا ہے؟

آخر کا ایک لڑکے نے سوال کرنے کیلئے ہاتھ کھڑا کیا اور ٹیچر سے بولا، سر ! دو جمع دو تو چار ہوتے ہیں، یہ پانچ کیسے ہوگئے؟ ٹیچر غصہ سے بولا، تم زیادہ جانتے ہو، یا میں؟ سٹوڈنٹ بولا آپ۔۔۔۔۔ ٹیچر بولا تو پھر چپ کر کے بیٹھ جائو اور سب بولو دو جمع دو پانچ۔ بچہ ڈر کے بیٹھ گیا۔ لیکن تھوڑی دیر بعد پھر ہمت کر کے اٹھا اور بغیر ٹیچر کی اجازت اپنے ساتھی طلباء کی طرف دیکھ کر مخاطب ہوا۔ یہ دیکھو میرے ہاتھ کی طرف یہ دو انگلیاں اور یہ دو انگلیاں ملا کر کاؤنٹ کرنے پر چار بنتی ہیں۔ یہ پانچ ہمیں کیسے پڑھا سکتا ہے؟ لیکن اس دفعہ ٹیچر نے باہر کھڑے چپڑاسی کو اندر بلایا اور کہا کہ اس کو کلاس سے باہر لے جائو اور اس کی سٹوڈنٹ انرولمنٹ پرنسپل سے کہہ کر کینسل کر دو اور آئندہ یہ ہماری کلاس میں نہ آئے، اس کو ٹیچر کا احترام کرنا نہیں آتا اور نہ اس کو حساب Maths سے محبت ہے۔

یہ دیکھ کر باقی طلباء دو جمع دو پانچ پڑھنا نہیں چاہتے تھے گھبرا گئے اور خاموش ہوگئے۔۔۔۔

لیکن اگلے دن وہ زہین طالب علم جو باہر نکالا گیا تھا، پرنسپل کو لیکر کلاس میں داخل ہوا اور شکایت کی ٹیچر ہمیں غلط فارمولہ یاد کروا رہے ہیں۔ مجھے حساب (Maths) کے مضمون سے محبت ہے مگر فارمولہ 2+2 پانچ نہیں بلکہ 2+2 چار ہے۔
جس پر پرنسپل جو کہ ٹیچر سے ملا ہوا تھا، بولا ٹھیک ہے ہم کلاس میں آپ کے ساتھیوں سے پوچھ لیتے ہیں کہ دو جمع دو کتنا ہوتا ہے؟ جب پرنسپل نے سٹوڈنٹ کو تحکمانہ لہجے میں پوچھا بتائو دو جمع دو کتنے ہوتے ہیں؟ اور ساتھ ہی سامنے بیٹھے بچوں سے ایک ایک کر کے پوچھنا شروع کر دیا۔ بتائو دو جمع دو کتنے ہوتے ہیں۔ تو سب طالب علموں نے جواب دیا پانچ ۔۔۔۔ جس پر وہ سکول سے فارغ لڑکا پریشان ہوا اور کلاس سے چلا گیا۔

زہین طالب علم کے زہن میں خیال آیا کہ بچوں کو ڈر ہے کہ ان کا نام بھی سکول سے خارج نہ کر دیا جائے، اس لئے صحیح جواب نہیں دے رہے، اس لئے وہ سکول کی فیکلٹی اپنے دیگر ٹیچروں کے پاس چلا گیا اور سب کو اکھٹا کر کے پوری رام کہانی سُنائی اور مدد کیلئے کلاس میں جا کر پرنسپل اور ٹیچر کے سامنے سچ بولنے کی گواہی دینے کو کہا۔ لیکن پرنسپل نے پہلے ہی فیکلٹی کو دھمکی لگا رکھی تھی کہ اگر کسی نے دو جمع دو چار کو سپورٹ کیا اس کی فیکلٹی ممبرشپ ختم کر دی جائے گی۔۔۔۔ اور نوکری سے نکال دیا جائے گا۔۔۔۔

چناچہ وہی ہوا، جس کا ڈر تھا۔ ٹیچرز کلاس میں آئے اور سب نے گواہی دی یہ بچہ جھوٹ بول رہا دو جمع دو پانچ ہی ہوتے ہیں، لیکن چونکہ بچہ نہ سمجھ ہے اس کو علم نہیں۔ اس لئے اس کو معاف کردیا جائے۔۔۔۔

مگر زہین بچے کو یہ منظور نہیں تھا، اس کے بعد بچے کا نام سکول کے رجسٹر سے خارج کر دیا گیا۔

ہر جگہ ایسی نہیں ہوتی کہ جہاں خاموش رہا جائے جیسے کہ باقی تمام طالب علم خاموش رہے، کچھ جگہیں ایسی ہوتی ہیں کہ جہاں پر آپ کو بولنا پڑتا ہے چاہے پوری دنیا آپ کے خلاف ہی کیوں نہ ہو جائے جیسا کہ اس ایک طالب علم نے بولا ، اسے معلوم تھا کہ وہ صحیح ہے اور اس نے باقی سب کی طرف خاموشی رہنے کی بجائے بولنے کو ترجیح دی۔

زندگی میں کچھ لمحات ایسے ضرور آتے ہیں کہ جہاں ہمیں معلوم ہوتا ہے کہ ہم صحیح ہیں لہٰذا ہمیں وہاں خاموش رہنے کی بجائے بولنے کی کوشش کرنی چاہیے چاہے آپ اکیلے ہی کیوں نہ ہوں۔
