I am excited to introduce to you a treasure of Ural, an amazing exhibition center located in Verkhnyaya Pyshma. This unique and huge open-air center covers 5 ha and houses 7000 sq.m. of exhibition spaces.
On 9 May 2005 a museum “Military glory of Ural” was opened there to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. More exhibits are being added with every year. Even if you return here after a while, you can still see a lot of new items. Last year a huge vintage car museum with the total area of 3500 sq.m. was opened there.
Despite being opened not so long ago, it is one of the biggest Ural museums of Russian and foreign military equipment to date.
There is everything in there, and you will be definitely taken aback by the magnitude and diversity of exhibits – there are badges and medals, cannons, planes, tanks, guns, combat vehicles, boats, submarines, missile systems, and anti-aircraft artillery, but the exhibit I was the most astonished by was WW2 railway equipment.
You won`t regret even for a second visiting this amazing and impressive center during your stay in the Urals. It is especially nice to visit it on 23 February and 9 May. A lot of the vehicles are still operational, so they are featured in parades.
