Do you see leaves and flowers? Or do you also see something else?
This is my colorpencil drawing. And if you something else, let me know what you see! Hi from Sabah, Malaysia. I been living here for more than 10 years and I am an artist. It"s been a great experience to have family in this tropical and natural place.
I did this drawing to prase them in 2011, also participated in small group exhibition in Tokyo organized by Sabahan artist.
So, the question again is... do you only see leaves and other plants? That"s very nice, and nothing wrong with that. I believe it means that your living condition requires very realistic clarification and you need to relate specific matters.
Do see something else besides plants? That's also nice, do you know the name of this specie too? If you are Malaysian and resident near by, I am sure you know it because it is very iconic!! :)
And I would say that you have a good imagination to compile something that is not directly related objects into something else.
So what use of this imagination skill or sense?
As a matter of fact, it is very difficult to defend what good is art, art skill, artistic talent, and artistic senses are for. Is it any good? Profitable? Can we measure them with specific numbers and analyse them?
Sadly, I would say no sure... As being an artist for quite sometime and spent and spending my life time learning them, it is hard.
So hopefully while I post more of my drawings of hidden animals, I did few more of these, I could give more thoughts about art.
