All the divers who were in this place disappeared into the pack. From the side it was more like that people are in some kind of trance and wander inside the labyrinth of fish.
The pack parted, letting the person go forward, and then just as smoothly closed back. Consisting of fairly large fish (Caranx or jack-fish can be up to half a meter, and these are probably about 35-40 centimeters), it was perceived as a single whole. In fact, a large flock of jack-fishalmost always stands in this area (Philippines, Balikasag) and together with turtles is the visiting card of this place.
But that time she went to the shallowest waters. The depth there was not even 6 meters in places. Perhaps this was due to the hurricane that had passed several days before.
But somehow it turned out that the fish "did not fit" between the bottom and the surface, which on the one hand greatly increased the density, and on the other limited mobility. A photographer's dream.
For the time spent in this place an hour and a half, I filled out with photos all the flash cards that I had. I shot split, on long exposure, and with the use of other techniques.
And then I just swam among the impure fish.
Philippines, Balikasag.
