Great Sand Dunes
Hiked the Great Sand Dunes of Colorado today! There were so many people out having fun sand-boarding and making sand angels. I enjoyed people watching quite thoroughly, it was quite a fun hike! The first hike I’ve ever done barefoot, it was interesting to feel the varying temperatures and textures of the sand. Although it was only 2.5mi and ~700ft elevation gain...it was tough! Half of the effort feels like it’s lost when walking uphill in the sand. The views of all the other dunes at the top is well worth it!
