Slightly late on posting but, here it is! :)
Thank You Steemit for giving me the ability to get paid while spreading love & knowledge!
I use to be one of those people that laughed off the idea that I would ever be able to go gluten/grain free/paleo-primal. I thought that meant I had to give up some of my favorite foods especially, pizza and sweets. Boy was I wrong!
I eat pizza & sweets every week!
I enjoy my food more than ever too!
An enjoyable dinner of mine has been as simple as roasting sliced sweet potato for bun(Japanese Sweet Potatoes/Garnet-my favorite), beef patty (mixed with spices & salt for burger), and any other vegetable as a side or on top. Guacamole is almost always with my burgers. ☺
Going primal-paleo made me realize I can eat anything else anyone else is eating just by making substitues. Every ingredient in a recipe has a substitute!
Now I eat things that taste way more enjoyable (especially since it’s a bodily response to your body receiving/absorbing what it needed) like burgers, pizza, polish dinner, Toscana Zoupa, stuffed peppers, pancakes, omelets, smoothies, cupcakes, cookies, meatloaf muffins, egg muffins, salads, avocado egg bakes, chicken pesto pasta, wraps, crackers-cheese-salami, celery w almond butter and grapes (tell the kids it’s a caterpillar on a log ☺) , trail mix, cereal, oysters, cod, salmon, beef/pork roasts, BBQ pulled pork, Guacamole, liver & onions, jalapeño poppers, hot dog muffins(like corndogs), tarts, gummies, etc.
My cooking focus tends to be on quick & simple meals.
Focusing on listening to your body, and how you feel I believe is the most important thing you can to do for your health. Everyone is different in every way. Before I tried this lifestyle & putting health first, I cannot remember a time that I wasn’t in pain. From headaches/migraines, muscle/nerve, soar throats, inflammation pain everyday! People thought I was a hypochondriac.
Started making small changes little by little until I came across paleo(though dairy-cheese is still a must for me).
I lost 15lbs the first month on my version of paleo, to date I am now down 55lbs in 9 months!
Now as long as I support my body’s daily nutritional needs (including drinking enough water), I don’t get those daily pains & any inflammation is rare!
The following are some pictures of my favorites foods:
