Where I live there are many of these majestic birds flying overhead. Go on a hike and it is almost as if they are following you in hopes that you may drop dead on the trail. They feed on dead animals. If you happen to see a flock of turkey vultures circling, chances are there is lunch waiting below.
It is called turkey vulture due to its resemblance to a turkey, and the fact that they have a red head. They are also bald with no feathers, an adaptation that occured so meat does not get stuck when they are feeding.
If turkey vulture is your spirit animal you may be caring some of these similar qualities.
Watchful, intelligent, and cautious.
Fly vultures fly!
