Components
This app is NOT a Quran Android, however it is influnced by its UI design. The Quran is a free open-source app that you can use to read the Quran from your Android devices. The app also includes translations in many languages such as: (Spanish, Russian, Urdu, French, German, Indonesian, etc)
Proposal
Here's my proposal for The Quran Android App:
- Add Multiple Translation View
In this app we are only allowed to display one translation only. For example if we want to display the English translation, then English appears. And also if we want to display the Indonesian translation, then the only Indonesian appears.
Therefore, I suggest to add multiple translation options. With this feature, it allows us to display more than one translation in the screen. e.g. English and Indonesian appear simultaneously.
Mockups / Examples
Basic view: (before adding option)
Multiple translation view: (after adding option)
With this checkbox, it will allow us to display many translations at once. Here I show only two translation examples. If we have a lot of translation, then we can also display it by checking the checkbox.
Example view in reading mode:
(single translation: Indonesian)
(multiple transaltion: Indonesian, English)
Benefits
The benefits of this feature is to facilitate users in displaying multiple translations at once. It is actually intended to compare the two translations when we need them. So, we do not have to bother to choose the translation one by one. An example is for teaching purposes, so we can teach in English by understanding the Indonesian first.
With the display of multiple translations this will make it easier for us to read and compare translations that have been displayed.
