OLD FACADE OF LIFE
Pusing morning market, Perak - Malaysia (March 2018)
The aging paints and a couple of openings showing and old lady peeping out towards the morning market crowd down below. I am lucky to spot this and it is a tricky shot not to be noticed. I walked around and glimpsed and took few aimed at other places and swayed in slowly took a burst shot and look away as if I took a shot of a different place.
A sense of wonder what could be the old lady thinking. The glimpse of old memories of the place playing in her head? Wondering where her children and grandchildren is? Missing someone? These are the dilemma of being old in our times. Their children got married and have family of their own. Having to move out to work in the bigger city where the income is higher to pay for the rising cost of having a family.
And choices and sacrifices has to be made sometimes for things to work for everybody.
PROCESS
Taken with Filmborn app with Rangefinder so I could cropped in and choose the focus of the photo.
Colours are reduced of its saturations in Lightroom under Colors>Mix. Cycle to the color elements and adjust the respective colours that you want to eliminate to have zero saturation. In this case I leave the red element and boosted the Saturation and Vibrance.
My only wish that I shouldve adjusted the Curves to have darker shadows and give the photo more contrast. But I guess this will do for now.
