Day 1.
You probably heard about the devastation of the island and saw it happen on TV. Let me tell you there is nothing that can prepare you for the devastation. The roads are gone, the power lines are all on the ground, no internet, no TV. Some places are running on generators.
Had to go to Kmart for some stuff. The shelves are empty.
Had to go to a faraway place to get some groceries. The prices are jacked up like crazy. I am just settling in and taking it in slowly. I am devastated that there are no beaches. The sand is al gone. Al you see is rocks and water.
More details and pics on this. I found a restaurant from where I can get on the Internet. So this is a quick glimpse.
That is my dear wife ordering food by the sea.
Out in the sea you can see a cruise ship.
Menacing but pretty clouds coming over.
