Having grown up on Byron, Keats, Yeats, T S Elliot, Mathew Arnold, P B Shelley, Wordsworth,Daphne du Mauria, Shakespeare, Georgette Hayer, Sherlock Holmes, Agatha Christy , Barbara Cartland, Victor Hugo, Leo Tolstoy, Fyodor Dosteovsky and World war 2, Europe and Soviet Russia fascinate me.
Pictures of Europe and Soviet Russia are like a visual story that I have read.
The soft green meadows of England have always beckoned me.
The sprawling, lazy soft green meadows. The tall trees throwing shade on cottages. Cottages and Cabins dotting the beautiful hills, moors, shores and woodlands. The quaint bridges over brooks and streams. The unpredictable overcast sky. Is it not like a story ? A mystery thriller ?
I painted this painting for my love for the English countryside. I referenced it from an old card I had and improvised on it. I took some artistic liberty. I added a little of my imagination and soul to it :) My contribution for Thursday Green Color Challange
