Hello, I share with you a time-lapse video with the result of a drawing of a face following Loomis's method from his book Fun With A Pencil. It is a book focused on cartoon drawing, and although the style looks somewhat old due to the era and context of the book, I think you can learn a lot from it and get good tricks and tips that improve our learning. The method is applied through understanding the rotation of a sphere, to which different shapes are added for the facial features, such as the cheeks and the chin. Of course, the drawing can be greatly improved, and there are parts that could look better, but the important thing is that each part of the process is understood. I think I have made hundreds of drawings following this method, and the fun part is that small changes in proportions or details result in completely different faces. I invite you to create your own caricatures with this method and share them and mention me. I will continue making and sharing. Additionally, I added color to this one, which is something that sets it apart from many others I have made. Thank you for joining me one more day of drawing.
Hola, les comparto un video timelapse con el resultado de un dibujo de un rostro siguiendo el método de Loomis de su libro Fun With A Pencil. Es un libro centrado en el dibujo de caricaturas y, aunque el estilo se ve algo antiguo debido a la época y el contexto del libro, creo que se puede aprender mucho de él y sacar buenos trucos y consejos que mejoren nuestro aprendizaje. El método se aplica a través del conocimiento de la rotación de una esfera, a la que se le agregan distintas formas para los rasgos de la cara, como las mejillas y el mentón. Por supuesto que el dibujo es muy mejorable y hay partes que pueden quedar mejor, pero lo importante es que se entienda cada parte del proceso. Creo que he hecho cientos de dibujos siguiendo este método, y lo divertido es que pequeños cambios de proporciones o en detalles hacen que queden rostros totalmente distintos. Los invito a crear sus propias caricaturas con este método y que las compartan y me mencionen. Yo seguiré haciendo y compartiendo. Además, a esta le di color, algo que sí la diferencia de muchas otras que he hecho. Gracias por acompañarme un día más dibujando.
