This post aims to share the brushes I use in Ibis Paint with the community. It's my personal collection of brushes made by different Ibis Paint users and available to use from the application. All brushes are distributed and stored according to the licenses and terms and conditions of Ibis Paint. The way to use these brushes is very simple: just import the whole image (with the QR code) from the brush window, the three dots, then import brush. Once imported, you can use it; many even work offline. All credits for the drawings and brushes go to their respective creators shown in the image. I hope my collection is useful and functional to you.
Este post tiene el objetivo de compartir los pinceles que uso en Ibis Paint con la comunidad. Es mi recopilatorio personal de pinceles hechos por distintos usuarios de Ibis Paint y que están disponibles para usar desde la aplicación. Todos los pinceles están distribuidos y almacenados de acuerdo a las licencias y términos y condiciones de Ibis Paint. La forma de usar estos pinceles es muy simple: basta con importar toda la imagen (con el QR) desde la ventana de pinceles, los tres puntos, importar pincel. Una vez importado, ya lo podrás usar; muchos incluso funcionan offline. Todos los créditos de los dibujos y los pinceles a sus respectivos creadores mostrados en la imagen. Espero que mi colección les sea útil y funcional.
This brush is very useful for lineart, especially if you like lines with uneven textures, giving it a lot of dynamism. I have also used it for some coloring in dark areas, since it has that kind of empty effect.
Este pincel es muy útil para lineart, sobre todo si te gustan las líneas con texturas poco uniformes dándole mucho dinamismo. También lo he usado para algunos coloreados en zonas oscuras, ya que tiene ese efecto como de vacío.
This brush was made by the author to give different highlights in areas like hair and eyes; I use it for that sometimes, but in truth I have found it more useful for shading in my drawings. It is quite pressure-sensitive, so you can get many different values depending on how fast or hard you press the pencil. I used this one specifically for my entire drawing of Larvie.
Este pincel el autor lo hizo para dar distintos brillos, en zonas como el cabello y los ojos, lo uso para esto a veces, pero en verdad lo he encontrado más útil para hacer sombras en mis dibujos. Es bastante sensible a la presión, así que puedes obtener muchos valores distintos dependiendo de qué tan rápido o fuerte presiones el lápiz. Este específicamente lo usé para todo mi dibujo de Larvie.
Although this brush is called Darkness, I have used it for the complete opposite of what it was made for: I use it to make small flashes of light by drawing it in white and lowering the layer opacity, as if they were dust particles that the light hits.
Aunque este pincel se llame Darkness, yo lo he usado para todo lo contrario de lo que está hecho: lo uso para hacer pequeños destellos de luz dibujándolo en blanco y bajando la opacidad de la capa, como si fuesen partículas de polvo a las que la luz golpea.
If what you are looking for is to make quick sketches, this brush is perfect. It simulates a physical pen very well and has a bit of shake that gives it that traditional finish. Even so, you can disable the shake in the options and get a much cleaner line.
Si lo que buscas es hacer bocetos rápidos, este pincel es perfecto. Simula muy bien una pluma física y tiene un poco de temblor que le da ese acabado tradicional. Aun así, puedes en las opciones desactivar el temblor y obtener una línea mucho más limpia.
This is the brush I use for rendering, although as you know, I rarely render my drawings and I prefer flat shapes and colors, but it's one of those that even if you don't use it, you should have it.
Este es el pincel que uso para renderizar, aunque como saben rara vez renderizo mis dibujos y me gustan más las formas y colores planos, pero es uno de esos que aunque no uses, debes tener.
This brush has a very specific use: blood or liquid stains. I have used it to give textures to fruits with spots since it looks very organic.
Este pincel tiene un uso muy específico: manchas de sangre o líquidos. Yo lo he usado para dar texturas a frutas con manchas, ya que se ve muy orgánico.
And the crown jewel is this brush for making speech bubbles, if you are interested in comics or manga. Before knowing this brush, I struggled a lot with Ibis Paint's own dialog boxes, but now with this brush my workflow improved 100%, turning something that was cumbersome into something simple.
Y la joya de la corona es este pincel para hacer burbujas de diálogos, si te interesan las historietas o el manga. Antes de conocer este pincel, batallaba mucho con los cuadros de diálogos propios de Ibis Paint, pero ya con este pincel mi flujo de trabajo mejoró un 100%, convirtiendo algo que era engorroso en algo sencillo.
I leave for last this brush for rendering clouds. I think what I have the most are cloud brushes, but I chose this one for the simple reason that if you like a more Ghibli-style look, this is the one. You get clouds that look hand-drawn. If you want me to share other cloud brushes, I can make a post specifically about these.
Dejo para el final este pincel para renderizar nubes. Creo que lo que más tengo son pinceles de nubes, pero escogí este por la simple razón de que si te gusta un estilo más a lo Ghibli, es el indicado. Obtienes nubes que parecen dibujadas a mano. Si quieren que les comparta otros pinceles de nube, puedo hacer un post específicamente sobre estos.
These are not all the brushes I use; I use many more, and in a single drawing I sometimes combine three or more. It is also a list that changes with new additions or replacing some with others that work better, since the Ibis Paint community is always creating new ones. So if you want, try them out and comment which one you found useful or if you have one useful for something specific; for example, I use several depending on the lineart style. Estos no son todos los pinceles que uso, uso muchos más y en un solo dibujo a veces combino tres o más, además es una lista que va variando con nuevas adiciones o sustituyendo algunos por otros que funcionen mejor, ya que la comunidad de Ibis Paint siempre está creando nuevos. Así que si quieres, pruébalos y comenta cuál te resultó útil o si tienes alguno útil para algo específico; yo, por ejemplo, uso varios dependiendo del estilo de lineart.
