As a proud Greek, today I will show you the glory of the Greek language, my language.
The history of the Greek language begins thousands of years ago around 3000 BC. The first writings date back to about 1450 and 1350 BC. making the Greek language the oldest in the world.
Until we came to the present form of language there were several phases of its existence.

According to statistics (2012), about 13.2 million speaks the Greek language. It is an official language in Greece and Cyprus. There are too many Greeks abroad, in Albania, Armenia, Australia, Hungary, Italy and the United States where they speak the Greek language.

Ancient Greek alphabet
This alphabet is based on inscriptions from Crete dated to about 800 BC. Greek was written mainly from right to left in horizontal lines at this time. It is uncertain what names were given to the letters, and some letters had more than one form.
Modern Greek alphabet
The Modern Greek alphabet consists of 24 letters. It does not contain any Latin character and is totally different from any other language in the world.
