A moment in Visual Alchemy
My name is Daves and I’m the artist behind the project/alias neurocolor. My artistic approach consists of a constant workflow that explores the conjunction between traditional painting and New Aesthetics such as digital art, glitch art, vaporwave and so on. I like to create images that can be used as inspiration for paintings and the other way around: handcrafted art pieces that can be digitally manipulated as digital images. The final piece is placed under different light conditions; I call this process Visual Alchemy.
My own interpretation of the Mexican Flag.
I was born in the 80’s in the legendary Tenochtitlán aka. Mexico City. CDMX (its new official abbreviation) is a very very big and populated city. Like every megalopolis there’s a lot of stuff going on, it's a blend of history, cultures and social dynamics that never stops; an explosion of stimuli, inputs, sensations, noises and chaos that at the end somehow works. Mexico is a suitable place to feel inspired as an artist 'cause it has an incredible amount of layers of weirdness.
This is me, really lost trying to get Facebook.
So why am I here? Well, as many of you, I’m tired of the traditional social media like FB. In the past was OK to share art over there but I don’t feel confortable with its terms and conditions or with its algorithm anymore. I heard this is a good platform for creative people and its always a daring adventure to meet a whole new community. So, hell yeah ! thanks in advance for the feedback, hopefully we can push things forward from here.
