1776 was a monumental year. It was not only the year of the founding of the American republic, but it was also the year that the Illuminati were formed. The Bavarian Illuminati were a group founded by Adam Weishaupt. As a side note, doesn’t he look very similar to George Washington?
What this shows is that conspiracy and media speculation about secret societies and governments being in league together is literally as old as America’s founding.
It is not a new development to suggest that there are other forces controlling the actions of the state or the media. It could in fact be argued that both the Illuminati and America were founded with the most glorious and virtuous intentions. Both institutions are now dangerously misunderstood by most people. Truth and freedom will always be difficult to find, and by looking at how institutions were formed, we can get a better idea of how and why they have morphed so radically.
