Decentralized exchanges (DEX) are very hot now in the crypto space, and understandably so with all the issues surrounding centralized exchanges. Popular exchanges such as Binance and Kucoin have both hinted at moving to a decentralized model. The native tokens from both these exchanges have seen incredible growth of late.
Today I want to introduce a project I'm following closely that is going to have a fully decentralized model from the beginning, utilizing their atomic swap technology.
Introducing Altcoin Exchange
Altcoin exchange claimed to have performed the world's first Ethereum <> Bitcoin atomic swap. You can read their report here.
If you are not familiar with atomic swaps, I think you'll hear much more about it in the coming year. It will be the missing ingredient that will help DEX flourish as it will remove the need for a middleman. For this reason, I think Altcoin Exchange will become very popular once it is fully implemented.
