A look at some different stilts

I am used to seeing aircraft wheels fold in sideways.

That is the case when the wing is flush with the undercarriage.

Occasionally you get some that operate differently.

When the wing is attached to the top of the body then things get a bit more creative.

This one folds forward and up into the side of the aircraft.
