Many people have different definitions or descriptions of success, what it means to be successful, and what they believe a successful person should have (as a physical possession). In this post, I would love to share what I see as the traits of a truly successful woman.
She Has Clear Goals
A woman who has no definite goal may end up being on the same spot for years. It does not matter if the woman in question is young or old, black or white, schooled or not, without clarifying what you want in this life, how do you even begin to make moves?
She Creates A Plan
No matter how beautiful our dreams and goals may be, there is a need for plans to be drawn to help us get there. A truly successful woman would sit down and come up with action steps that she would take to get to her goal.
She Takes Imperfect Action
A lot of the women folk are afraid to take steps towards goals they have been hoping to achieve for years. They feel they don't have enough money or support, so they are wait for that "all things being equal" time when everything is available or perfect. The truly successful woman launches out with whatever little she has, and things begin to add up on the way.
She Takes Responsibility
The truly successful woman is not given to excuses. She may be tempted to play the blame game, blaming everything and everyone for the challenges she faces, but she would rather look for solution and find a way forward.
She Fails And Gets Back Up
The truly successful woman does not allow failure to define her. She knows that she is not perfect. She knows when she makes a mistake or takes a wrong decision, that the wise thing to do is not to keep crucifying herself over and over again. She knows that crying over spilt milk cannot turn back the hands of the clock.
Therefore she picks herself up and takes the next best step towards her goals.
She Is Also Human
There are many times that this truly successful woman sheds secret tears. Maybe as a result of losses, the activities of competitors or even for no known reason. She finds a way to encourage herself, surrounds herself with positive energy.
She Doesn't Stop Learning
The truly successful woman is willing to learn from people who are already ahead of her. She is not afraid to get a Coach or a mentor, because she knows the value she would add to her life and business when she implements the knowledge she will gain. She is open and welcome to new ideas and suggestions.
She Has A Team
The truly successful woman knows that it is good to go alone, but it is better to go together. She has her own tribe where she draws support from. She brings in people who understand her vision so they can work with her.
She Helps And Supports Others
The truly successful woman is willing to use her knowledge and experience to help individuals who are looking up to her. She does not withhold information that will be of help to another person. She does not believe in pulling others down in order to rise, but rather building others up in order to grow.
