At the end of the day, all your sacrifices are not even appreciated and you are made to look stupid. As much as this happens to women, it also happens to me. But from my research most women are vulnerable and fall victim to such situations very often. I’m not married yet, but I know what I’m looking for in my life. I’m not looking to play around and be made to look stupid because I’m not.
I once had someone I was talking to tell me it would irresponsible to leave my husband and kids and go for a girls trip if I needed to go on one in the future. Shock can’t explain what I felt because how can someone say something like this. The other gender will always put themselves first and expect you as a woman to also put them first. Being a wife and a mother doesn’t mean you should stop living- that’s when life should he even better for you and unfortunately not everyone gets to experience that. At the end of the day, always put yourself first. Fill your cup before you fill another person’s.
Have fun, live life, meet people, go oh that girls trip and be the process that you are because life is only one. Don’t let the fear of being judged hold you back. You deserve every good thing, so go for it!
