I have been to an orphanage before and even though the conditions weren’t very good, you could see that these individuals both young and old had found a big family among themselves and they were living their best lives. These moments make you see and appreciate the beauty of life. I consider myself to be still growing but I have actually thought of adopting kids when and if I can.
Because I believe family isn’t always about their you give birth to or those you were born to. Sometimes the people you meet randomly help you and show up for you more the you actual family. I’ve always dreamt of adopting kids, raising them as my own and having them experience what life really feels like on the outside of the orphanage home.
But on another side, there’s been talks of long procedures to follow in order to adopt and child. I have seen it both in movies and I real life and honestly, I am not against it. Adopting a child means that you’re taking them as your family forever. It’s not as though they’re going to spend a one month vacation with you and that would be all. You’re going to build a life with these kids, show up for all their events, spend the good and bad times with them and vice versa.
However, adoption goes beyond just the child being taken. The family he or she is going to join also needs to be investigated. Right from their social life to their health. Every little detail matters because someone’s life is at stake. Honestly, if adoption was a one day thing, the rates of child trafficking and abuse would sky rocket so much we won’t know what to do.

The world as we all know is black and white. As there is good, there is bad and we can’t leave any room for bad to take over our system and the lives of innocent children. I wouldn’t mind spending two months to adopt a child because I know everything has to be in order. And when I get the child, we are gonna spend a lifetimes together. What is two months as compared to a lifetime?
At the end of the day, the right thing must be done and our kids be kept as always. It wouldn’t make any sense having so many kids adopted into homes they can’t live in or homes where they’re being abused. It’s not about the number of kids adopted but the quality of life being given to the few kids who have been adopted. Quality over quantity
all images belong to me.
