BETRAYED –The Silver Lady –A Poetic Piece
THE LOVE
Without silver or gold you promised to love me forever,
And like Romeo loved Juliet, I loved you too (Romeo & Juliet),
And like Jack loved Rose, I loved you more (Titanic),
And like Paris loved Helen, I loved you even more (Troy),
With the hope that your promise was true.
THE SACRIFICES
I gave up my dynasty for the sake of our love,
I gave up my wealth, power and fame,
I gave up my status and the throne that awaits me,
I gave up a life of royalty and glamour,
I gave up everything to profess my love to you.
THE BETRAYAL
But you loved another despite my sacrifices,
You betrayed me with a conscience so dark,
You poisoned my compassion and left a hole in my heart,
You drowned my emotions and you cast away my love,
You betrayed me for mere silver and gold,
What a silver lady you are.
LOVING TO DEATH
Just like Romeo, I will drink to my death a poison.
Just like Jack, I will freeze to my death for your sake.
And just like Paris, I will fight to my death in battle,
For this love I profess sees beyond betrayals.
And even in death, I will love you to life eternal.
Adieu my love until we meet to part no more.
The End
