Most people will say, "So what? It looks like a good meal."
Years ago, I would have agreed. Considering the time taken to prepare such a meal and the careful and deliberate presentation of the veggies, I ask:
"Why spoil it with a slice of an innocent animal?"
Alternatives are only a Google search away. In fact, 'vegan dinner options' returned "About 20,300,000 results (0.24 seconds)".
Excuses, excuses.
Every time I post something like this I grimace at what people are thinking. Words like proselytising, opinionated and self-righteous come to mind. There have been occasions where thankful was mentioned.
This is a reminder that I always think of the people who have sent me personal messages of why veganism isn't just food you eat, it's the lives you've saved.
Heroes are presented on tv and the media as those people saving a child from a burning house or rescuing a stray dog. Every time you abstain from your ham sandwich you're saving a life. EVERY TIME.
You're the hero.
All the best,
Nick.

I’m still looking for an artist to cover my work on my fantasy saga, Adventures in Elowyn Glade.
