At last! I'll be starting to participate in the community and become an active Steemian here.
I'm looking forward to all the members in sharing valuable information about interesting topics.
In the last few years, I started my freelance writing at Upwork.com, Onlinejobs.ph, and Essays.ph. I started for as low as $5.00 for a 1000-worded article and I can't even get the 100% of that income. When Upwork is still a new platform, they usually charge around 10% of the gross income, so 90% of the $5.00 is my net pay. However, there's an additional $1.00 withdrawal fee when you transfer the earnings to your bank or Paypal.
Thereafter, I'm still pursuing the writing job until I finally had several clients. I was able to make my profile 100% rating for 2 years. However, the Upwork raise their charges again up to 20% in which you can only enjoy around 80% of your gross income. That's really unfair especially for freelancers or fixed-based projects.
With that regard, I've found another option to do writing or blogging. I was able to discover this site from a community in which I also perform my part-time job. Steemit becomes a popular social media and blockchain site. I even started seeing articles generated on the first page of the Google search engine.
