Hello pretty people of the internet, I hope this week is closing very well for everyone, in my case, have not been easy days, I know I've been missing (again haha, sorry) but I've tried to devote energy to my drawings and relax a little, so... what better to close the year with a flourish by presenting a new illustration.
To start making this drawing, I didn't have a clear idea of what I wanted to capture, I just felt the desire to draw and I didn't want to waste it, so as it happens with most of my drawings, the ideas came up as I went along. I hope you enjoy it!
Process:
Shall I tell you the truth? I had the sketch of this drawing saved for quite a while, it was just a drawing that I started and didn't finish, but given the circumstances I thought it would be a good occasion to finish giving it life; that's how I started with the outline and shortly after I added the base colors and some shadows.
Painting the background with the idea I had more or less in mind (a landscape) would help me to establish the color palette, but soon after I went back to concentrate on the character, added shades to her skin and also drew the hair. I usually draw the hair along with the whole body of the character, but when I started I wasn't very clear about what hairstyle I wanted to do, so I preferred to leave it for later.
After modifying the face a bit (especially the eyes, I drew them too big), I continued adding details in her make-up to make her look like a sweet girl (to achieve that I was inspired by some images of Korean make-up, because some of its characteristics is that it is a natural make-up but it can also be very tender). I proceeded with the clothes, stockings and shoes and then I realized that I needed to define the background.... What could I draw? I don't have that much experience doing landscapes so it wasn't easy to decide what to do, after drawing and erasing several times, I was left with the idea of the giant strawberry garden.
Painting the strawberries was extremely fun to do, they are very beautiful fruits and of course I wanted to capture their beauty and complement it with my drawing style. Something I usually notice a lot when I see drawings of other artists, is the textures they use, how they work with them, and I wonder what brushes they use, so I thought I would also use this resource because I think they enrich the drawing, so I used a dotted brush to detail some areas of the leaves of the strawberries and also the girl's dress, and with another brush with a texture like a crayon, I did one by one the leaves of the grassland.
I added more shadows and slight details to the landscape so that both that and the character would stand out and I also finished adding some more lights on the character's skin and finished signing the work.
Although this drawing may have taken me a little longer than I imagined to finish it, I think every minute was worth it because I let the creativity flow and as I added and added elements and small details, the whole environment came to life.
I love it and it transmits tenderness, so I feel very happy that this is the last drawing of the year, in 6 months I think I have progressed a lot with digital drawing and it is more and more natural for me to draw with this style.

Hola gentecita linda de internet, espero que esta semana esté cerrando muy bien para todos, en mi caso, no han sido días fáciles, sé que he estado desaparecida (otra vez jaja, lo siento) pero he tratado de dedicarle energía a mis dibujos y relajarme un poco, así que... qué mejor que cerrar el año con broche de oro presentándoles una nueva ilustración.
Para empezar a hacer este dibujo, no tenía una idea clara de qué era lo que quería plasmar, solo sentía las ganas de dibujar y no quería desaprovecharla, así que como sucede con la mayoría de mis dibujos, las ideas surgieron sobre la marcha. ¡Espero que lo disfruten!
Proceso:
¿Les digo la verdad? Tenía guardado el boceto de este dibujo desde hace un buen tiempo, era solo un dibujo que empecé y no terminé, pero dadas las circunstancias pensé que sería una buena ocasión para terminar de darle vida; fue así como empecé con el delineado y poco después añadí los colores base y algunas sombras.
Pintar el fondo con la idea que más o menos tenía en mente (un paisaje) me ayudaría a establecer la paleta de colores, pero poco después volví a concentrarme en el personaje, añadí matices a su piel y también dibujé el cabello. Usualmente dibujo el cabello a la par con todo el cuerpo del personaje, pero cuando empecé no tenía muy en claro qué estilo de peinado quería hacerle, así que preferí dejarlo para después.
Luego de modificar un poco el rostro (especialmente los ojos, los dibujé demasiado grandes), continué añadiendo detalles en su maquillaje para que luciera como una dulce niña (para lograr eso me inspiré en algunas imágenes de maquillaje coreano, pues algunas de sus características es que es un maquillaje natural pero también puede ser muy tierno). Procedí con la ropa, medias y zapatos y luego me di cuenta que necesitaba definir el fondo... ¿Qué podría dibujar? No tengo tanta experiencia haciendo paisajes así que no fue fácil decidir qué hacer, después de dibujar y borrar varias veces, me quedé con la idea del jardín de fresas gigantes.
Pintar las fresas fue algo sumamente divertido de hacer, son frutas muy bonitas y claro que quería plasmar su belleza y complementarla con mi estilo de dibujo. Algo que suelo fijarme mucho cuando veo dibujos de otros artistas, es en las texturas que usa, como trabaja con ellas, y me pregunto qué pinceles usaría, así que pensé que también usaría este recurso pues creo que enriquecen el dibujo, por eso usé un pincel de puntitos para detallar algunas zonas de las hojas de las fresas y también el vestido de la chica, y con otro pincel con una textura como de lápiz de cera, hice una a una las hojas del pastizal.
Agregué más sombras y detalles leves al paisaje para que tanto eso como el personaje resaltaran y también terminé de añadir un poco más de luces en la piel del personaje y terminé por firmar la obra.
Aunque este dibujo quizá me tomo un poco más de tiempo de lo imaginado en poder terminarlo, creo que cada minuto valió la pena porque dejé fluir la creatividad y conforme añadía y añadía elementos y pequeños detalles, todo el ambiente cobró vida.
A mi me encanta y me transmite ternura, así que me siento muy feliz porque este sea el último dibujo del año, en 6 meses creo que he progresado un montón con el dibujo digital y cada vez me es más natural dibujar con este estilo.
