Hello everyone! I hope you are doing well, this time I want to show you how to transform the corn husk (also known as malhojo) and an empty oil container into a beautiful vase. I love to do it because besides recycling takes me to my childhood years, when my mom taught me how to do it.
Hola a todos!! Espero estén muy bien, en esta oportunidad quiero mostrarles cómo transformar la concha del maíz (también conocida como malhojo) y un recipiente vacío de aceite en un hermoso florero. Me encanto hacerlo porque aparte de reciclar me lleva a mis años de niñez, cuando mi mama me enseño a hacerlo.

These are the materials we will use..:
-Scissors.
-Silicone.
- Black marker
-Sheets of recycled paper
-Holes - Corn husk
- Pistil of a dried flower (arnica flower) -Oil container
-Oil container
-Box of toothpaste (optional)
Estos son los materia les que utilizaremos.:
-Tijera.
-Silicón.

-Hojas de papel reciclada
-Abre huecos - Concha del maíz
- Pistilo de una flor seca (Flor de árnica)

Step 1.
The first thing we will do is the little or in this case the vase. To do this with the marker we make a mark and cut with scissors the oil container a little more than halfway up. Ready this we take the top and level with the scissors if necessary.

Once the cup is ready, the next step is to make the details with which we are going to decorate it. To remove the strips that will cover the edges we turn the oil advertisement. Fold it four times, mark it giving it a half circle shape and cut it.

Una vez lista la copa, lo siguiente será hacer los detallitos con lo que la vamos a decorar. Para sacar las tiras que van cubrir los bordes le damos la vuelta al anuncio del aceite. Lo doblamos cuatro veces, marcamos dándole una forma de medio círculo y cortamos.

With the hole opener we take out the little circles that we are going to glue to our cup. I chose a toothpaste box because I liked the silver detail of the box, but you can use whatever you have on hand.

To finish with the decoration of the cup we will make a bow. To do this we take the corn husk and dry and with silicone we glue the two ends. Then with the fingers we join to make the ribbon, cut a strip to adjust in the center and another for the tail, once it is ready we glue it on the cup.

Para terminar con la decoración de la copa haremos un lazo. Para eso tomamos la hoja de la mazorca de maíz ya seca y con silicón pegamos los dos extremos. Luego con los dedos unimos para hacer el lazo, cortamos una tira para ajustar en el centro y otra para la cola, una vez que esté listo lo pegamos en la copa.

Now we proceed to make the flowers. On a sheet of paper we draw some petals and cut them.

Once the petals are cut on the sheet of paper, we use them as a template to make them on the corn husk and glue them to the pistil of the arnica flower.

Finally we put the arrangement of flowers in the cup, in this case I put a tusa, but you can put some pebbles or whatever you can think of.
