I knew the importance of motivation before now but I haven't been applying it as supposed until I started being consistent with it practically on my son, hence the change I see today.
Good day to my amazing mom and dad of this community, I want to believe that you are doing well wherever you are in this part of our world. I feel like sharing my experience with you today on my parenting journey with my first son.

Sincerely, I keep learning every day as a parent, adjusting to some practices to keep getting better. When I read from other mums of hive, I get lots of tips and encouragement to keep going. I am not a perfect mom, but I am always seeking ways to improve to train a good and responsible child.
In my previous post, I stated how my first son loves music and playing instruments far better than studying his books. Until I took great action by enrolling him in music class at the same time as his academics, now he has an interest in both. One thing I neglected is the power of motivation.
I realize that anytime his teacher writes good comments on his class works and homework, he (Chisom) reads the comments and gets excited š, then he wants to keep learning with positive energy.

When I saw the positive effects those sweet words from his teacher is having on him, I stepped up my game on this motivation as well. I could tell him amazing words about any single effort he makes on learning, and I could encourage him consistently, even halfway to finishing his assignments. Whatever little things he wants to do, I am always motivating him, telling him that he can do better and that I am so proud of him...then I see him smiling and striving to reach the finish line. My son whom I will Practically beg him to do his homework suddenly started doing it to the end without leaving it halfway. It has not been easy for me on this, when I mistakenly compared him with his junior brother who is a lover of learning, I got bad results...I didn't repeat such a costly mistake..it happened unaware! Even in some house chores, he assists with at home, this motivation has brought so much positive results unlike before.
I have also learned to approach each of my children differently considering their capacity.
Indeed the importance of motivation can never be overstated. Even in the office, staffs appreciate being motivated by the company and it encourages them to keep doing well. This is my experience with my son so far on the power of motivation, you can upgrade like me and see better changes.
