Sometimes it's better to take a local road. Actually, I try doing it as much as possible. Highways are useful and convenient, but boring. Whenever I am not in a rush, I will choose the local road.
On this occasion I decided to get off the highway, and drive through the local roads in Gorski Kotar region, in Croatia.
Yes, it might be bumpy, there might be slow trucks, tourist campers driving 10mph and sightseeing at the same time (quite a common sight in Croatia), but there will always be something worth stopping for a while, open a sandwich, have a drink and just absorb the enviroment...

I think the same goes for living our lives. We should kick ourselves of the convenient, well established routes and disturb the comfort zone from time to time. How else can we create conditions for a new experience?
