Life's challenges are there to toughen us but not to harden our hearts.. Nmalove
Everyone at some point in life have experienced emotional breakdown as a result of people's attitude towards them. It may not necessarily be a heartbreak from a relationship that will make you feel that Love is not real, it might be heartbreaks from family, friends or even a stranger that you decided to help.
I have met people that turn their backs on the needy because they felt they are scammers. I feel that way too most times. I remember something that happened about 3weeks ago, I was walking home one evening and a young lad walked up to me asking for help. According to him, he came to see his uncle but he wasn't home and the lad didn't have money for cab to go home, so he was asking for cab fare. I didn't hesitate to say no, not because I didn't have money to give him but because I thought he was lying, I thought he could be a stubborn teenager that probably ran away from home, in fact I thought of so many bad things and I didn't even consider the probability that he could be telling the truth. I feel bad that I said no till date.
How many people have we denied help?

This is prevalent even on Steemit, so many projects are being overlooked because people think the founders are trying to scam them. This could be as a result of their previous experiences with people, but what if they are real?. What if that poor person is actually poor? We should not let other people's mischief stop us from doing good.
You deserve to be loved..

I am one of the people that think Love is overrated. I think Love is painful and will rip your heart out. I do not think it is as smooth and sweet as it is being portrayed in movies. But what if Love is sweet, what if there is one person that will make everything right. Besides if all the past lovers are good how will you know the right one for you?. Those wrongs are there to help you discern and appreciate the right one when he/she comes.
Love makes the world go round.

It doesn't matter how much you've been hurt/scammed/used, just keep loving. Remember there is something called Karma. You will eventually get paid for your good deeds, in a way that you didn't expect. That's what the universe does, it gives us back what we give. What are you giving? Quit saying No.. You might be saving a soul. Don't let your experiences define you but instead let them toughen you and inspire you to do better. If as a business person, you don't give up even after failure, you keep trying till you get it right, why then should give up on people when they fail you? Why should you stop doing good?.
Don't let the darkness of this world harden your heart...
