Last week i told you about the abuses going on in the spanish language in this post Spanish is not a brand | Posts condemned to dust.
It is important to mention that all attempts to address this abuse issues have been met with sarcam and scorn by:
Far from realizing that their actions hurt the growth of the platform and harm user retention and think of better ways to interact with them, the dictators come stronger on the attack to innocent users that are just trying to use steemit the way it was intended to be used using their pup account for policing their TAGs.
How do you feel if you launch a charity post and someone came to flag you because you are not a ONG so you probably are going to steal the money...?
That is the experience this user suffered from the post police service
Now happily undone thanks to
, but that costed all proceedings for the charity...
I Invite you give a little upvote to help back.
I will be donating all the SBD collected in this post to help.
And their only reason was: Because they have RULES for posting charities... So if the charity is not sanctioned by the owners of the spanish language, any user trying to organize one has to check with them to see if we stick to their rules?
How would you feel if once because you were new and used a picture without quoting source.
Now all your posts come with a warning from the spanish police letting other users know that you once sinned ?
How do you feel if you captured a still picture from a video ad, wrote a post about the captured still and why it is important to notice some detail on it before watching the video
And got a warning comment from for not quoting that the ad or the still picture is an advertisement for Samsung yes there are no
sources quoted but what about the 2 paragraphs that mention that the still of captured from Samsung's commercial and you gotta look at the hairdo...
https://steemit.com/samsung/@zonabitcoin/samsung-se-burlo-de-apple-en-su-nuevo-video-publicitario
So black list an harassment for not using the requested format: Source: bla bla ? Or will we believe that the user was trying to make us believe he made the ad? or maybe the phone in the ad?...
It is important to notice that:
In general the victims of that, are people that has asked for explanations or clarification, as apparently they have written the good steemian manual, and upon joining steemit we all should read it from somewhere in their blog and stick to it.
The problem is that there is only 1 big project curating in Spanish.
And when there is no competition the public needs to bend and accept whatever rules the monopoly project decides to apply, irregardless if those are fair and not, if they promote freedom of speech or censorship.
When you are the only and powerful one, people gets used to obey your orders, and you get used to be obeyed.
Is that the steemit we are building ?
A platform where we promote quality, freedom and decentralization but that is rules by megalithic projects that set stupid rules and have the power and money to effectively imposes them on the population ?
needs to understand that it is hurting with that attitude the development of steemit, they are creating an army of bloggers without personality that simply obey their editorial rules and spanish speakers have no choice but to accept them or be condemned to be forgotten because there is no alternative?
How come they don't realize that their authoritarian attitude hinders the creativity, originality, and overall the quality of the platform ?
This is a call for them to open their eyes and behave like equals and promote good behavior not as the fathers they are not, but as investors that they are so the Spanish language thrives and develops, but we all know what happens when Money talks
English SP or Shareholders, there is an untapped market in Spanish that is been ignored by you.
I lost all hopes of getting support for my own projects, but I invite you to get in touch with the bilingual Spanish / English community, there are excellent curation teams and initiates struggling to try and put a fight at least for fairness of treatment, and those are failing because capital in emerging markets is scarce, that is an excellent opportunity for you investors to give a helping hand, make money and help steer steem in the right direction.
First it was their #cervantes TAG, now they operate in spanish and castellano...
If there is no change or anything done to put a stop to that behavior, maybe they will expand and replace with their
Is there hope?
