Holy is a week observed by many believers as the week which everyone is expected to remain holy and avoid sin. The Bible clearly teaches about the events that happened during the final week of Jesus’ earthly ministry, including His entry into Jerusalem, His crucifixion, and His resurrection. However, the Bible does not specifically command Christians to celebrate a yearly tradition called “Holy Week.” Instead, believers are encouraged to continually remember Christ with sincere worship and obedience.
Many Christians see Holy Week as a helpful period for prayer, repentance, and meditation on the sacrifice of Jesus. When practiced with true faith and respect for God, it can strengthen spiritual life and remind people of Christ’s love for humanity. At the same time, the Bible warns against following religious traditions without understanding or genuine devotion to God.
