Some time ago, I bought kebuli rice and gudeg rice. I ordered it in one of the online applications. Cheap enough, two meals cost thirty thousand. I ordered the kebuli rice plus pickles, chicken and crackers. For gudeg rice, with eggs as a complement. But, the taste is different from Middle Eastern restaurant. I found out about Nasi Kebuli when I was in Jakarta. At that time, I was invited by a friend to eat at a Middle Eastern restaurant, Abunawas. This place is famous in Jakarta. Moreover, during the month of Ramadan, this restaurant is always full only to open with friends and family. Kebuli rice is a mandatory dish in the Middle East. The spice aroma is very strong.
For the people of Indonesia, kebuli rice is no stranger. Because, a number of spices are often used in Indonesian cuisine. Usually with dry spices. When cooked, rice is added with mutton or beef, milk and ghee. Served with goat or beef. Also added pickles and crackers. Kebuli rice is very famous among the Betawi people in Jakarta. And people of Arab descent in Indonesia.

In the Betawi tradition, Nasi Kebuli is usually served in Islamic celebrations. Such as, Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha and the birthday of the prophet. Nasi Kebuli is also famous in a number of other cities, where many are of Arab descent, such as Surabaya and Gresik. At the beginning, I told you that this kebuli rice came from the Middle East. More precisely, Nasi Kebuli has become a tradition of the Yemeni Arab community. Thus, we can also find it on the territory of Turkey. Apart from that, flirty rice is similar to biryani rice. Just the seasoning is different.
As for gudeg rice, I've known it for a long time. I got to know him in 2015, when I visited Yogyakarta. However, it's a little off for me. Even so, gudeg rice is not in my favorite food. Actually this gudeg rice appeared in 1500. It was present during the royal period. Precisely, when the construction of the Mataram Kingdom was in Alas Mentaok.

From the information I got, the area has a lot of jackfruit trees. In fact, the fruit is very large. The number of jackfruit makes people process it various types of food. Usually, young jackfruit is not used. At that time, people began to process young jackfruit, by boiling it for several hours until the texture softened. After boiling, young jackfruit is added with simple spices. Such as garlic, onion, candlenut, coriander, galangal, bay leaf, and sugar. It makes the gudeg brown.
