Honestly, I only knew about this place because there's a famous music club here where they hold many concerts and jam sessions, but I'd never visited the surrounding area. This place is located in the Nievole plain, bordering the Fucecchio Marshes (another place I'd like to visit soon). Traversagna is a small village with medieval origins. Today, it's a passageway, divided between the houses on the main street, some neighboring streets, and the countryside, including some bordering the marshes. It's a very quiet and pleasant place. In ancient times, it's said that there were hospices here that housed pilgrims on their way to Lucca, as was the case in almost all the towns in the area that were a stopover for pilgrims. Instead, until the mid-1900s it was a predominantly rural area still to be reclaimed and urbanized, but little by little, with the growth of cities and urbanization, it became a residential, urban and completely or almost completely reclaimed area.

It's clear that today it's a very active and vibrant area, no longer a place of farmers and isolated houses. There are some cemented squares, a cemetery, and charming little parks. Then, however, we approach the countryside, which immediately unfolds in all its splendor: long green fields, some lined with cypress trees, farmhouses, fields of various herbs, olive groves, and various crops. The countryside is what I like and appreciate the most. There are various little roads that branch off between the fields. One day, I'd love to visit the countryside in this area; it must be very relaxing. Continuing on, however, we return to a more industrialized area, a little less beautiful than the green spaces, but still with several tree-lined avenues, so not all concrete! Here too, there are villas and shops, mostly factories, but I'm not sure what. In any case, it's a small village that I quite enjoyed, even though it doesn't have any major highlights. La primera parte del pueblo es muy residencial, con muchas casas, villas y residencias sencillas pero bien conservadas. También hay varios negocios y tiendas. Es evidente que hoy en día es una zona muy activa y dinámica, ya no un lugar de agricultores y casas aisladas. Hay algunas plazas pavimentadas, un cementerio y pequeños parques con encanto. Luego, sin embargo, nos acercamos al campo, que inmediatamente se despliega en todo su esplendor: largos campos verdes, algunos bordeados de cipreses, casas de campo, campos de diversas hierbas, olivares y diversos cultivos. El campo es lo que más me gusta y aprecio. Hay varios caminos pequeños que se ramifican entre los campos. Algún día, me encantaría visitar el campo en esta zona; debe ser muy relajante. Sin embargo, continuando, volvemos a una zona más industrializada, un poco menos hermosa que los espacios verdes, pero aún con varias avenidas arboladas, ¡así que no todo es cemento! Aquí también hay villas y tiendas, en su mayoría fábricas, pero no estoy seguro de qué. En cualquier caso, es un pueblecito que me gustó mucho, aunque no tenga grandes atractivos turísticos.
