I'm gonna turn negative into positive by finally making the life choices that I know are right. Here is what I will do.
1.) Pray and read the Bible every day.
The Bible contains great instructions for how to live. From the food we should eat to proper morality and answers for many of the deep questions I have about life, like why am I here and where will I go when I die. This is comforting and helpful for me. I believe God speaks to me through the Bible. And then I can speak to him through prayer. I ask him for forgiveness every time I pray and ask that he can help me to forgive myself and others too. I don't want to carry the burden of unforgiveness on my shoulders. I also tell him all of my needs and he always takes care of them. God has helped me through thousands of difficult situations and I want to show him more respect by still talking to him when things are going great for me and not just when I am troubled.
2.) Eat more healthy
I will start eating more vegetables, less preservatives and cane sugar and enriched wheat flour. I will also attempt to abstain from meat and dairy products.
3.) Take my vitamins daily
I will start to make sure I take my vitamins every day. It improves my quality of life so much, from making me happy and giving me more energy and being more productive and even sleeping better at night.
4.) Turn wifi and cell phone off before I sleep
Wifi routers and cell phones interrupt melatonin production in the brain preventing a good sleep.
5.) Complete abstinence from alcohol
Alcohol causes many problems in society, from car crashes to fights and broken relationships to health and sleeping problems. I want no part of this. As a matter of fact I wish they would remove alcohol advertisements on TV. Even though I don't often watch TV I do overhear it sometimes and it's upsetting to see these commercials lying to people about how alcohol will effect your life. Alcohol does not bring you pretty women and white sand beaches.
6.) Abstinence from caffeine
I will never again in my life take a caffeine supplement or energy shot. I will rarely have a cup of tea or coffee. Caffeine creates an imbalance of energy in my body. Then comes the crash. And when I'm tired I make poor decisions.

7.) Clean my room and stay more organized
I have ziplock bags of computer parts and cables tacked all over my walls. My room is too cluttered. I MUST take all of that down and put it in boxes. I can't fully concentrate in here with this disorganization.
8.) Attend support groups and seek counseling
It helps to talk to people who have been through similar struggles. In my case Alcoholics Anonymous. There are also some great pastors in my city who are very helpful in advising me on my life decisions, from money management to increasing joy and finding my purpose in life.
9.) Use my money to increase my ease of life
My new bed should arrive maybe by tomorrow. An aerofoam mattress. First time in years I will have a real bed. (not inflatable) It is a huge pain to wake up sleeping on a popped air mattress. It ruins the whole day and drains my energy. So thank you for the support on my posts, friends. I was never able to afford a bed before. You are all so wonderful. Also I am planning to buy a video card that produces less heat to make my room more comfortable. Currently I have an old 6970 Sapphire.
10.) Multitask
I mine cryptocoins while I trade on the markets. I can listen to audio books while I work on my garden. And as I am doing now, writing my personal journal while making an educational post. Killing two birds with one stone.
11.) Continue to diversify
I have been preparing for an economic collapse for years. Nobody knows when it's gonna hit. But it's coming within the next 5 years I believe. I prepare to the fullest. From storing water and food and spices and medicines. Having my garden always growing, even in a winter greenhouse with cryptocurrency miners to heat it. I have tons of computer hardware and software with backups. I have money on at least 5 exchanges at all times so if one goes down I won't lose too much. Soon I would like to start collecting precious metals. I love anything with utility, from tools to fuels and books and tanks of carbon dioxide and oxygen. I go to local thrift shops as much as possible and I store clothing in multiple sizes because being a gardener I often lose much weight in the summer. I once lost 50 pounds.
12.) Floss and brush my teeth and wash my face multiple times per day
I feel fresh the more I brush. And I like feeling fresh! Also somedays when I am so busy and working in my garden I forget to wash my face afterwards and then I can get acne. When I get acne I don't feel like going out in public and then I get lonely and life spirals out of control.
13.) Study daily
Studying foreign language, computer programming, web design, health, and history really make me feel good about myself. I love to learn, it is like a magical feeling in my brain. The more pieces of information and knowledge that you have the more productive and successful you will likely be.
14.) Appreciate my girlfriend more
Meeting 7 years ago is the best thing that ever happened to me. I want her to feel appreciated and loved. I'll dedicate more time in my day to doing this for her.
15.) Don't overwork myself and rest when I am tired
There are days when I work 24 hours straight and can barely walk by the time I go to bed. Long nights canning, doing laundry, saving seeds, cleaning, etc. This is not healthy. Work a good 10-12 hours max and then get some rest. Working while you are tired is a great way to get injured or make bad decisions.
16.) Drink enough water
They say 8 glasses per day is optimal. I never get that much. I need to drink more water and stay away from alcohol which dehydrates the body and drains energy. A good amount of water helps increase energy levels and just make you feel better.
17.) Relax and enjoy life. You only live once.
I will take more time to play with my ferrets, birds and dogs. And more time on here writing my blog which I enjoy so much. I'll take more time to read, and more time to print books. More time in the garden and watching prepping videos and reading forums.
18.) Less politics
Politics lately has been very divisive. I've lost many friends because of it. I am done preaching about what evils some of these politicians are up to and I'm done watching News on Television. It's sad and upsetting to see the consistent lies and the terror happening daily around the world. I am a very sensitive person and can't handle it.
19.) Focus on the positive
Here is what the Bible says.
"Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things." - Philippians 4:8
20.) Simplify my life
Using such things as Dragon Naturally Speaking could help me to be more productive on the computer, saving me much time and strain on my hands.
21.) Do something good for others daily
I want to use my time and resources to help someone in need every day. It makes me feel good about myself and is great for society.
22.) Seek more healthy relationships and avoid verbally abusive people
This is what inspired this article. An old associate came back to a chat room I have been hanging out at and started verbally abusing me yesterday. Calling me an idiot. I'll find a new place to hang out as long as he is around that room. I'll find a place with loving and like-minded folks.
23.) Sharing my faith
I am a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. I want to spend more time sharing the Good News (Gospel) with my neighbors, my friends, family and random strangers. It makes me feel good to share the Truth with people. I want all to gain the free gift of Eternal Life. Forever and ever in the presence of our Creator. God Almighty. Who I owe everything. He has saved my life multiple times and helped me to reach a point where I no longer suffer from depression. I am healed and lacking nothing!
