Just got to Bali, and it's 3:30 am. That makes still Monday in the US, and therefore I'm going to just go ahead and post my animal photo for the photo challenge by 
I know, I know...I should go to sleep instead of making really bad Pelican jokes. But I told myself I wanted to try to post on steemit as much as possible, no matter what. Whatever it's worth, $1 or $5. Doesn't matter.
You know why? Because you need pelicans in your life. That's what really matters.
I could never deprive you of the joy that is seeing this pelican in all his big-billed glory.
I was so fascinated to see this beautiful bird on the one and only family vacay I've had in over 15 years. I felt like I was at the zoo, only for free. He sat there for a good ten minutes, looking at each other.
I think I won the staring contest, though.
