Hola a todos! Hoy quiero compartirles mi experiencia con un juego que me tomó por sorpresa. Sinceramente, nunca me han gustado los Battle Royale. He intentado con Fortnite, Call of Duty e incluso Free Fire, pero el concepto de caminar tanto tiempo solo para armarte mientras cazas oponentes no me atrae para nada. Una partida de 15 minutos haciendo eso me parece, sin suavizarlo, bastante aburrido.
Sin embargo, hace unas semanas decidí darle una oportunidad a Brawl Stars. Me decían que tenía ese componente de Battle Royale pero con partidas mucho más cortas. Decidí descargarlo y, la verdad, me encantó.
Hi everyone! Today I want to share my experience with a game that took me by surprise. Honestly, I've never liked Battle Royale games. I've tried Fortnite, Call of Duty, and even Free Fire, but the concept of walking around for so long just to gear up while hunting opponents doesn't appeal to me at all. A 15-minute match doing that seems, to put it mildly, pretty boring.
However, a few weeks ago I decided to give Brawl Stars a try. I heard it had that Battle Royale element but with much shorter matches. I decided to download it, and honestly, I loved it.
El concepto es simple: apareces en un mapa que se va encogiendo con otros jugadores y el objetivo es recoger cajas para fortalecerte y eliminar a los demás. Lo mejor es que las partidas duran, si acaso, 3 minutos. Es el tiempo perfecto para jugar en esos microtiempos libres que tengo durante el día. Aunque el juego ofrece varios modos, este es definitivamente mi favorito.
The concept is simple: you appear on a shrinking map with other players, and the goal is to collect crates to strengthen yourself and eliminate the others. The best part is that matches last, at most, 3 minutes. It's the perfect amount of time to play in those tiny free moments I have during the day. Although the game offers several modes, this is definitely my favorite.
El juego tiene mucha personalidad. Los desarrolladores lo mantienen muy activo con eventos y temporadas constantes. Además, aunque no es que tenga una cantidad infinita de personajes, cada uno tiene muchísimas skins, lo que le da un toque único y visualmente variado a cada partida.
The game has a lot of personality. The developers keep it very active with constant events and seasons. Also, while it doesn't have an infinite number of characters, each one has tons of skins, giving each match a unique and visually varied feel.
Algo que me llamó la atención es que el juego es generoso al principio. En el poco tiempo que llevo, ya tengo varias skins únicas sin haber gastado ni un centavo. El factor de meterle dinero está presente, pero no lo notas al inicio porque las recompensas son grandes.
One thing that caught my attention is how generous the game is at the beginning. In the short time I've been playing, I already have several unique skins without having spent a single penny. The real money factor is there, but you don't notice it at first because the rewards are so great.
Sin embargo, a medida que avanzas, la cosa cambia. Al principio te dan unas 2500 monedas, pero ahora, a menos de un mes de empezar, si recibo 100 monedas es mucho. Se siente cómo el sistema te empuja a inyectar dinero si quieres seguir mejorando a todos los Brawlers. Lo bueno es que, si te enfocas en mejorar solo a unos 3 personajes específicos desde el inicio, puedes llevarlos al nivel máximo de forma gratuita.
However, as you progress, things change. At first, you get around 2500 coins, but now, less than a month after starting, if I receive 100 coins, that's a lot. It feels like the system pushes you to spend money if you want to keep upgrading all the Brawlers. The good thing is that if you focus on upgrading just three specific characters from the beginning, you can max them out for free.
En conclusión, Brawl Stars es un juego extremadamente divertido. Puedo pasar horas en partidas casuales sin cansarme. Es excelente para jugar con amigos; a veces juego con mis compañeros de trabajo y se siente muy dinámico. Me recuerda un poco a un MOBA, pero sin el componente de destruir torres.

In conclusion, Brawl Stars is an extremely fun game. I can spend hours playing casual matches without getting bored. It's excellent for playing with friends; sometimes I play with my coworkers and it feels very dynamic. It reminds me a bit of a MOBA, but without the tower destruction element.
