Chapter 7. Lullu & The Lesser Gods.
It’s becoming obvious to your humble explorer that the Lullu dispatched to the gold mines of southern Africa, had a vastly different relationship with the space alien colonizers, than did those who stayed in Mesopotamia.
Let’s draw a picture. We will use the 6,000 year Howieson’s Poort era, (65,800 - 59,500 years ago), as a guideline.
The first wave of Lullus would have been shipped, maybe space-shipped, to the mines at a ripe young age. Probably more of a size. Annunaki time change and all. I figure 10 to 12 Earth years would be about right. A few years of training and then as they got stronger they’d do heavier jobs. More auxiliary jobs I’d guess. The females would be breeders, would probably grow food, maybe even raise animals, or may have even been put to work in the mines as well. Or around the community. We have 6,000 years to work with here.
We should note again, that this is fiction and speculation based on several elements, some of which are fictional, some history, like weather and climate, and a lot of speculation and logic.
The Igigi, are by definition, (they may or may not have existed, nonetheless the word has a definition within the mythology), “younger gods.” Sometimes, “lesser gods.” They’d obviously be the “working class”, and as such would not have had the same attitude towards these hybrids who were coming to help them. We could spin it both ways. They could be cruel to the Lullu slaves. Or they could be kind. We’re going with kind. Why? Because there’s absolutely no reason to be cruel. They, the Igigi, would know that these creatures were created to alleviate their suffering. It’s why they revolted. They may have thought it a bit extreme to create and creature especially for this task. But, thanks.
It wasn’t as if Lullu had anything else in mind. Anywhere else to go. Or anything else to do.
When we do the cinema adaptation of this volume, we’ll inject some drama.
For 6,000 years, Igigi and Lullu worked together in southern Africa. There was plenty of food. The weather wasn’t terrible and over the generations knowledge would have flowed, mainly to Lullu. They would inevitably learn language, how to use tools, maybe how to make and repair tools. Build small structures. (See the previous chapter for tools and such discovered at Howieson’s Poort.)
Meanwhile in the Levant, there was drama, upon drama, upon drama. This drama, (whether the Annunaki are the “real” gods or not), this antediluvian era, resonates to this day.
I should state an uncomfortable speculation. If the Annunaki created Lullus and sent them to Africa, and we’re all descended from Africans, than most of us got a little Lullu in us. Except for maybe Basques, and those Europeans descended from Neanderthals. But we’ll get to that later. Maybe.
So celebrate!
Ah, one more thing. My Cosmogony is crumbling again. It’s not that Annunaki space-aliens are trying to wipe out humanity. It’s the psychopathic trauma-toids. The trauma experienced in those days, before the flood, and after, did not happen in southern Africa. There are no stories, or legends of wrathful, jealous gods. We haven’t discovered anything about burnt offerings, (which, face it, are really just cooked meals.) There are no stories about fallen angels stealing their woman.
Of course, the Sumerian civilization, they alleged chroniclers of this alleged epic, emerged in the flood, 4-ish thousand years after the deluge. They would have suspected the mines existed, because that’s the main motivation. Maybe one of the more curious scribes wondered, whatever happened to those Igigi that worked the mines? He was probably fired on the spot and banished.
It was a whole different story in the Levant. The culture was different and so were the demographics. The majority of the Lullus were sent to the mines. A few early success stories stayed in the Levant. We know this because they were seduced and impregnated by Annunaki elites, and probably some courtiers as well. I can see humping hybrids becoming a trend. Like passport bros. We’re not talking about a handful of hybrids here. It took 100,000 earth years to get Project Lullu perfected. (They had to get all that hair off of those bodies for some reason.) So there were plenty of lady Lullus ripe for the pluckin’ in Eridu and its environs. And there were no birth-control clinics in Eridu either. Quite the opposite was going on.
So here are some comparisons and contrasts between Eridu, (The Levant), and southern Africa.
In Eridu there was already a hierarchical system in place. The Annunaki story does not descend much outside of Anu’s lineage. The schism, occurs with Enki’s dalliances. He has many encounters with human hybrids that produce offspring, and those offspring, Adapa, in particular produced 30 sons and 30 daughters. (60 minutes? Allegory?)
The African experience was different, so the cosmology was different. There’s no pantheon of gods that must be worshiped, feared and cared for. There are nature spirits and remote “creators.” There are elders, chiefs and councils, that keep the community in tact. Reverence is based on wisdom and know-how. There are no temples, no towers, no fallen angels swooping down and stealing the women-folk from the mining region. There’s no sacerdotal class issuing decrees and threats in the names of long forgotten deities. And apparently no noise.
There are no legends that we found of Igigi mating with Lullu. Doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. Even if it did, the offspring wouldn’t be royalty, he’s still be a miner. Not very legend worthy. And certainly not worth a slab of clay to record it.
And, most importantly, there was no catastrophic deluge that wiped everything out. Without this pivotal, global reset. The devastating loss of life and technology, there’s no recovery necessary.
Of course, we are making all this stuff up. Well, not all of it. A lot of it was already made up when we got here.
Next time, or maybe soon, we will look for linguistic connections. We speculate that Igigi and Annunaki spoke the same language. Lullu would be taught the basics before being deployed to the mines. This of course would be early in the game before the self replicating Lullus on site could keep the workforce growing on their own. Homo erectus females averaged 3 to 5 viable offspring in a lifespan that averaged 25 years. The Annunaki enhancements may have been able to improve those stats. The little ones would be taught to talk and work and breed. They’d obviously learn from the Igigi. That being the case, there should be some linguistic connections between peoples of Southern Africa and, let’s say, Eurasia. At least a few syllables. Heck, it’s only been 25,000 years.
